Dr. Victoria Lihiru

Dr. Victoria Lihiru is a Law Lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the Open University of Tanzania and also an advocate of the High Court of Tanzania. Victoria is a renowned legal, gender and governance specialist on the areas of women political participation, elections, disability inclusion, legal aid and climate change. She has worked with national and international organizations including the women Coalition, UNWOMEN, UNDP, ADD International, SHIVYAWATA, The Palladium Group and Oxfam. In 2018, Victoria attended a five-week fellowship program with the Association of University Centers on Disability (AUCD) in Vermont-United States of America. After meeting with prominent disability experts and self-advocates Dr. Victoria founded Her-Ability Foundation as part of her contribution to unlocking the underrated potentials for university with disabilities. Victoria sits on the UN WOMEN’s Civil Society Advisory Panel, the UK’s National Local Community Fund Advisory Group and she is a member of the African Union’s FemWISE program.

Husna Said

Husna said is a 2019’s graduate of a Bachelors of Science in Geology from the University of Dar es Salaam. While at UDSM, Husna served as a Minister for Gender and Special Needs, a role that made her highly connected with the associations of university students with disabilities across universities in Tanzania. Husna has worked for HAF since its inception. Even with her new role as a Geologist at the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, Husna continues to diligently serve HAF

Catherine Sungu

HR and Administration Coordinator

Catherine is a 2018’ graduate of Bachelors of Commerce from University of Dar es Salaam. Catherine was the first beneficiary of HAF’s programs, after finishing her degree Catherine was successful connected by HAF to a paid internship with The Palladium Group-Tanzania. Following the on-job support from HAF, Catherine was later promoted to a logistics officer. As HAF continue to grow, Catherine spends her spare time working on HR and administration issues for HAF..

Faith Mwakikoti

Faith is a 2019’ graduate of a Bachelors of Laws from University of Dar es Salaam. While at UDSM, Faith served as a Deputy Minister for Gender and Special Needs. HAF successful connected Faith with a six month internship with Oxfam Tanzania. She uses her spare time managing HAF’s social media pages, facilitate monthly article publications and connect HAF to mainstream and social media.
